At Alternative Energy Solutions Ltd, we use a voltmeter and a DC ammeter to check that the incoming and outgoing currents are the same as is being recorded and displayed by the inverter. We will keep a record of the total kWh produced and this will track any losses within the system. Systems do produce slightly lower levels of electricity over time, but this should be a relatively slight decrease (1 or 2 percent a year).
